The Beehive is the perfect example of a tribe working together for the higher mission of the Hive.
The word for community in Hebrew is edah, which also means beehive. This word portrays the way a group of people or hive of bees live and work together with a common identity. Bees live a selfless life of devotion to the bee kingdom. They have no concern for themselves but only for the hive and the constant production of honey.
We want to belong to a tribe and hang out with people we care about. We strive to connect with like-minded people who want to experience and talk about the same things.
Back to the prehistoric time, around 2.6 million years ago, the world was filled with danger, whether it was the weather, lack of resources, all of these things working to try to kill us. Then we evolved and we lived together and worked together in tribes, circle of safety, where we felt like we belonged, where we felt safe amongst our own, we trusted and cooperated with each other.
Nothing has changed now-days and we more than ever need to build our tribe around us with people we feel safe, we trust and we can work together. And so networking is your only way to build this circle of trust.
Because building a diverse network and making mutually beneficial connections doesn’t happen overnight. You’ll need to be prepared to invest your time in order to get the best results.
